EQUIPMENT NOTE

Built around the official Rules of Tennis.

World Tennis (formerly the ITF) does not publish a brand-by-brand approval list for standard rackets. Under the Rules of Tennis, a racket used in competition must comply with Appendix II: it is a frame with strings, within the stated dimensions, and without an energy source or a device that changes its playing characteristics during a point. The models here are conventional, unmodified stringed rackets from established manufacturers; this is not a claim of individual federation certification. Tournament organisers can set additional event conditions.
